Taewook Kang

About Me

I am an M.S. student in Artificial Intelligence at Seoul National University, advised by Prof. Jonghyun Choi. I received my B.S. in Computer Science from Hanyang University in August 2025. Currently, I am working as a research assistant at SNU Machine Perception and Reasoning Lab.

My ultimate goal is to research and develop generalist embodied agents—such as autonomous robots—that can perceive, reason, and interact with the physical world. To this end, my primary research interests include:

• Embodied AI: Developing agents that can perceive their surroundings, understand the context, and generate appropriate actions to accomplish tasks.
• Open-ended Generalist Agents: Creating agents that continuously acquire skills, explore novel strategies, and transfer knowledge across diverse tasks and environments.
• Robotics: Advancing planning and control methods for manipulation and locomotion that produce robust, seamless execution of actions in the real world.

• [Sep 2025] Started my M.S. in Artificial Intelligence at Seoul National University.
• [May 2025] Our paper on a real-time anomaly detection method for robots was accepted to Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence.
• [Nov 2024] Our paper on a frame sampling method for embodied question answering was accepted to KSC 2024.
