Taewook Kang

About Me

I am an undergraduate student majoring in computer science at Hanyang University, Seoul, Republic of Korea. Currently, I am working as a research intern at Machine Learning and Mind Lab, KAIST.

My ultimate goal is to research and develop generalist agents - such as robots - that can percieve, reason, and interact effectively with the physial world. To achieve this, my primary areas of interest include:

• Embodied AI: Developing agents that efficiently achieve their goals by leveraging multimodal decision-making, with an emphasis on real-world deployment and adaptability.
• Open-ended Generalist Agents: Designing agents that plan sub-goals and explore a wide range of strategies to effectively complete tasks across diverse environments.
• Video Understanding: Enabling agents to process and extract meaningful semantic information from long video sequences to enhance environmental understanding based on contextual cues.

• [Jan. 2025] Started working as a research intern at Machine Learning and Mind Lab, KAIST.
• [Nov. 2024] Our paper on a frame sampling method for embodied question answering has been accepted to KSC 2024.
